The movie clips below show an actual prototype being built or grown on the Stereo Lithography Apparatus.

This process is often called a "build". The video clips feature a complete "build" in time-lapse fashion lasting about one minute whereas in reality the build; may have taken over 20 hours.

We recommend you view these clips to gain a better understanding of what is actually happening during a "build".

After the wiper blade has determined the layer thickness of resin, the laser cures the resin forming one slice of the model.

When the model is complete it rises from the vat and excess resin is allowed to drain off.

The SLA model seen here rising from the vat is dried and cured in an ultra-violet oven before being checked against the original 3D CAD image.
